Introducing the Momentum cohort 2026/27 - Alicia Quayson - 4/30
Alicia Quayson is a London-based writer, and director crafting bold stories rooted in the British diaspora experience. Her work finds humour, tension, and surrealism in the everyday, centring Black British characters and relationships through a lens that is both visually striking and emotionally grounded.
Her award-winning short documentary Motherland established her as a distinctive voice and her debut narrative short 'Bless You', currently in post-production, marks an exciting step into the comedy world. With a few exciting projects in development, she is building a body of work that is culturally specific, daring, and unmistakably her own.
Each day of June, we'll be introducing a different member of the Momentum 2026/27 cohort
Give them a follow, read all about them and get to know more about their work and what they're up to.
