Because Liz Tomforde had absolutely no business creating this man. 😂 I fell HARD for this book. Ryan is quiet confidence, a little grumpy, ridiculously protective, and the kind of man who shows you how much he loves you. And Indy?! Funny, chaotic, a hopeless romantic, and exactly what Ryan didn’t know he needed. The way these two become each other’s safe place?! UGH. MY HEART. Now let’s talk about this cast because I HAVE THOUGHTS!! Jesse Williams as Ryan?! JACKSON AVERY. Do I even need to explain myself?! 😂 The moment I started reading, Jesse was Ryan Shay in my head. The confidence, the way he loves his people so fiercely, and THOSE EYES?! And Jesse and Kat Graham as Ryan and Stevie?! AS SIBLINGS?! YES PLEASE. Shantel VanSanten as Indy?! UGH. I’ve loved her since One Tree Hill! She came in after we’d said goodbye to major cast members and somehow made us fall in love with Quinn. Dorky, adorable, a little awkward, with the biggest heart. THAT is my Indy. And she can bring the sass, heartbreak, and chemistry?! COME ON. 😂 And yes, I tend to age my characters up! Liz gives them so much emotional depth and maturity that picturing them a little older just feels more believable to me.
