An American hedge fund manager once told me I have an “unapproachable aura.”
I told him that access is a privilege, not a public utility.
Men are so conditioned to believe that every beautiful thing they see is available for purchase or conversation. They walk into spaces like this thinking their net worth gives them immediate entry into a woman’s mind.
But true aristocracy isn’t about what you can afford; it’s about what you choose to tolerate.
And today, my tolerance for generic compliments is at absolute zero.
