in my happy place & with my favorite girl 🍴🥰As many of you know, 1) I love to cook, 2) my husband is gluten- and dairy-free due to medical restrictions, and 3) I especially love to cook for people I love. I certainly do not have the same kind of bandwidth like I used to pre-baby, but when I have the opportunity, I like to roll up my sleeves and spend time extra time in the kitchen. The other day, I made chicken schwarma with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, and Mediterranean rice - all gluten- and dairy-free. Here are the recipes I followed: chicken shawarma from @damn_delicious pita bread from @theloopywhisk Mediterranean rice from @evolvingtable and for the tzatziki sauce, I mixed together: 1 cup dairy-free Greek yogurt (I used Kite Hill brand) 1/2 cup grated English cucumber, squeezed dry 2tbsp chopped dill 1tsp lemon zest juice of 1 lemon 2 cloves garlic salt and pepper to taste @bdccarpenter was absolutely raving over this meal and said that the pita bread was his favorite part. 👌I’m really looking forward to the day our baby girl and I can make meals together in the kitchen 🧑‍🍳

They tend to make for easy engagement, and they offer false hope that people can do these kinds of workouts to achieve the body they want.Nothing inherently wrong with these exercises. But randomly throwing together exercises that target a specific body part for ultra high reps with no rhyme or reason is not effective.It’s okay to want engagement.Of course we should encourage exercise.But you can do so without misleading others or promoting the idea that you need to fix “problematic” areas of your body.

Exactly 0% of this is advice; I’m simply sharing my personal subjective experience! Of course, everyone’s journey is different. I forgot to mention that I did end up getting a 2nd degree tear, which I didn’t feel happen at all. It honestly was not even close to as bad I thought it would be (likely due to the epidural!).

At my first 20 week anatomy scan I walked in blissfully unaware that our lives were about to change. I was simply excited to see baby and hear his heartbeat. We ended up receiving Caden’s Omphalocele diagnosis ‘All 10 toes and 10 fingers but he does have a large defect called an Omphalocele…meaning his liver, part of his small and part of his large intestine are growing in a membrane outside of his body.’ Even though genetic testing after birth ruled that Caden’s Omphalocele wasn’t genetic, hearing that everything is looking ‘normal’ is such a relief. Now we continue to pray for healthy growth for baby girl and that she would stay cooking until a scheduled c section date. 🙏
