Weaving workshop
The weaving done in Peru is so amazing and it was extra special to have them explain the whole process of using the Alpaca wool to create beautiful yarn with natural ingredients for colors. They start as young girls, weaving bracelets and move up to large items over time and practice until they can weave blankets. Very time consuming and a labor of love. The patterns are created in their minds and colors are chosen based on their feelings. They sing while they work.
Sid tried spinning the yarn and danced🕺and then we all shopped for some authentic Alpaca made goods.
