I had a delightful weekend coaching and repeatedly getting emotionally wrecked by Metro Voices. They are such a smart, open, generous, and present group of humans. I loved co-coaching with the incomparable Blair Brown and watching Samantha Tramack and Maggie Mendez be incredible leaders (I was especially proud watching Maggie be absolutely amazing leading a warmup with both choruses of the AACC this morning).
Full stop, Metro Voices is a chorus you need to make sure to see if you’ll be at International. They are a phenomenal chorus, and their second song is truly one of the greatest songs anyone has ever decided to bring into the barbershop style. I’m so proud of Maggie for her beautiful arrangement of such compelling source material.
It was also a blast to catch up with many friends, especially a few of my favorite Vandy people!
Now to go back home - I miss my girls!!
