The color has beautifully faded overall, both front and back, with faint whiskers starting to show.
There’s even a little mark on the back of the right hem—a trace of a story from along the way.

When we describe mixed children as “half this, half that” we are accidentally telling them that they are a fraction of something. That they are incomplete. That they belong fully to neither side and must spend their life somewhere in between, never quite enough for either world. & children feel that. Even when they are small. Even when they don’t have the words for it yet. So instead of half and half..try both 🤍Because that is the truth:) She is not half black and half European. She is black and she is European. Completely. All of it. All at once. No division, no fraction, no choosing. The way we talk about identity shapes the way children understand themselves. And a child who grows up hearing she is whole, she is both, she belongs everywhere, grows up rooted in a way that no amount of outside noise can easily shake. I am raising her to be proud of every single part of where she comes from. Not as a conflict to resolve but as a richness that most people will spend their whole lives trying to find..
