Toto’s live performance on the Norwegian show Sommeråpent in 2004 quickly became a legendary moment in music history. The band, known for its incredibly talented and technically gifted musicians, was unfortunately told they had to lip-sync to a backing track. But Toto wasn’t just going to politely pretend to play.

Instead, they decided to completely lean into the absurdity, turning the performance into a masterclass of comedic over-acting and good-natured rebellion. You can see them aggressively miming, barely attempting the vocals, and fighting back laughter, creating an unforgettable “troll job” that delighted fans and probably baffled producers.

This wasn’t just a funny clip; it was the ultimate flex from a band that had nothing left to prove. With massive hits and complex musical arrangements under their belt, Toto used the moment to showcase their personality and refusal to take themselves too seriously, delivering a dose of rock and roll irony that fans still adore two decades later.

@funcho it gets more fun every year🥰

We all know @itsjasonweaver to be the old Michael Jackson 🤩 but what about in comparison to the new? 🤔

Cauliflower cheese is a gift to all people that don’t like cauliflower. Like me.

For years, I would try cauliflower and be disappointed. I just couldn’t get over the feet smell.

So when we moved to England, went to our first Sunday roast and ordered it (because EVERYONE around us had it) I did not have high hopes. But I tried it anyways.

Now I’m a cauliflower cheese believer. I actually crave it.

This recipe is from @chefthombateman and, dare I say it, is even better than the recipe I tried from Gordon Ramsey. Sorry Gordon, I like my cheese sauce with a little more oompf than yours had. And Chef Thom delivers.

So what should I cook next for American Cooking British Things?

Thank you @steny.abroad for the name. 🥰

@lecreusetuk that’s your stuff I’m using here!! Love it!

Hi, I’m Anna! I recently moved to England after living in Spain for the last 10 months. I post about daily life, trying to figure out what that looks like while settling in a new country with my wife and three cats. Follow along and see if I can make this work!
