Nigerian doctor reacts after TVC reporter berated healthcare workers being on strike on the day late gospel artiste, Toluwanisings, slumped and needed medical attention Recall that on Wednesday, October 14, the late gospel singer slumped in his home in Ibadan and was rushed to several hospitals but was turned back because the doctors were on strike. While his demise shocked so many, it sprung up the debate on the poor healthcare system in Nigeria. The doctors were on strike demanding for better pay and working conditions. While reacting to the singer’s sudden demise, the TVC reporter argued that doctors took an oath to save lives and should stick to upholding this oath at all times. She argued that doctors shouldn’t be about the money but about saving lives. She wondered how the striking doctors in the hospital where late Toluwanisings was turned back would feel now that he passed.
