#MsRachel, the popular children’s entertainer known for her YouTube videos, visited New Jersey’s Delaney Hall immigration detention center to meet with families affected by detention and speak out against family separation.

Partnering with New Jersey Senator #AndyKim, Ms. Rachel condemned the separation of children from parents being held at the facility. Following the visit, she shared that meeting the children and hearing their stories broke her heart. In a video shared by Kim, Ms. Rachel called for an end to family detention centers, saying the children she met are suffering emotionally.

According to @wmar2news, her then-10-year-old daughter, Ailea Brown, whose father, Durrell Williams, had full custody of her, was reported missing on May 25, 2019. Authorities stated at the time that she may have been with her mother. The case remains an active investigation. _________________________Additionally, @wbaltv11 previously reported that Brown was arrested in January 2014 after police responded to a call about an unattended child inside a vehicle parked in the Maryland Live! Casino parking garage. Investigators said a woman arrived at the casino around 10 a.m., left the vehicle, and entered the casino while a 4-year-old child remained inside. Authorities stated that due to the child’s age, the cold temperatures, and visible signs of distress, medics were called to evaluate the child before she was transported to a local hospital for examination. _________________________Police said the child had reportedly wet herself, was cold, and did not have access to food or water while inside the vehicle. Officials also stated that blankets had been placed over the rear windows. According to reports, Brown later returned to the scene, identified the child as her daughter, and was subsequently arrested. She was charged with second-degree child abuse, neglect of a minor, and leaving a child under the age of 8 unattended. _________________________Child Protective Services was contacted, and the child was later released to a relative under a safety plan.
