A series of newly-released calls made after the failed execution of US death row inmate Christa Pike reveal emergency services were delayed by confusion among first responders and Tennessee prison officials. The recordings, first obtained by the Associated Press, show that minutes passed as officials and responders attempted to confirm whether the request for emergency help in the execution chamber at Riverbend Prison was legitimate. Pike, 50, was sentenced to death after murdering Colleen Slemmer with her then-boyfriend in 1995. She survived two injections of the drug pentobarbital on 30 September and was taken to hospital in a critical condition. It might look like a scene straight out of a science-fiction movie, but this breathtaking crystal wonderland actually exists deep beneath the surface of Earth! Located nearly 300 meters underground in Mexico’s Naica Mine, the Cave of the Crystals is one of the most extraordinary geological discoveries ever made. The cave is filled with enormous natural selenite crystals, some reaching approximately 12 meters in length and weighing several tons. These magnificent crystal formations didn't appear overnight. Scientists believe they developed over hundreds of thousands of years, as mineral-rich hot water and remarkably stable underground conditions allowed the crystals to grow at an exceptionally slow rate. However, there's a reason this hidden wonder remains largely inaccessible to visitors. The cave's extreme environment, with temperatures approaching 60°C and humidity levels close to 100%, makes it incredibly dangerous for humans to stay inside for extended periods. Exploring it safely requires specialized protective gear and strict precautions. What makes this place even more fascinating is that the very conditions that make it so difficult for humans to survive are the same ones that helped create its gigantic crystals. Hidden beneath the Earth for thousands of years, this spectacular natural formation is a reminder that some of our planet's most unbelievable wonders are still found far below its surface. ✨ A place so beautiful it looks unreal, yet so extreme that humans can barely explore it. 💎 #sarcasm #mexico #caves #explorepage #earth
A big thank you to Dr. Nayana @dr.nayana.s and Ajith from Vanaura Organics for giving me the opportunity to create something that I have truly loved. Skandamata is particularly close to my heart because I wanted to portray a situation that we see in almost every household, where the younger child gets bullied by the older brother, the mother is unable to say very much, and the father, of course, is in a world of his own! My heartfelt thanks to my friends, Mr. Rajhesh Vaidhya @rajheshvaidhya on the veena, Prithvi Chandrasekar @prithvi15 , who produced and mixed the music, and Ananta Krishnan @misterdangam. A special thank you to the entire team at Vanaura Organics and my assistant, Ratheesh @ratheesh_sreekantan_nair . And a big hand to the VFX team, who have been working day and night to bring everything together in time for Navratri. It has been an absolute pleasure to direct these films and compose the songs as well. Thank you, everybody, for being part of this wonderful creative journey! My barber Yash changed the game for me, but he can't make it down from Jersey just to cut my hair and trim my beard. So I needed a local solution and my new Frank came through in a big way! ✂️ Feeling fresh 🥬 Thank you Ingleside Beard & Barber 💈 😁
