I read somewhere: if it's been raining in your head a lot lately, just imagine the beautiful flowers that are about to bloom.

But how do I wait for the flowers to bloom again when the grief of losing the garden I had nurtured before these storms and hurricanes lingers every second of the day?

How do I hold my ground when the rain has washed away any semblance of peace and home that I had built so meticulously within my own self?

How do I find joy in the showers of raindrops that glide briskly against the window and their pitter patter that could serenade me but only instill the fear of losing my sanity?

How do I bring myself to hope for sunshine and rainbows when my mind is flooded with rainwater than refuses to let me breathe?

Yes, the showers will subside and the storm will pass one day, but the havoc wreaked behind will remain as scars and medals of all I used to be before it started raining in my head.

I don’t know how to answer that without reading it 10 times but I vote for flowers always. (Secretly I know you’d like more but my brain is fried, my apologies)

How is every single word of it so relatable? 🥹

i’ve come to the realization that this is what life’s supposed to be. that’s it. the havoc, the grief, the fear — it’s all a part of life.
