KOKODA TRACK.
Courage. Endurance. Mateship. Sacrifice.
I've just returned from one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
A group of mates traded comfort, convenience and the "usual" overseas holiday for sore legs, brutal jungle climbs and a challenge that tested us physically, mentally and emotionally every single day.
For 9 days there was no reception, no electricity and nowhere to hide from the challenge. Just your own thoughts, your mates and a deeper appreciation for those who walked and fought there before us.
For me, Kokoda was about honouring those who sacrificed so much for our country. It was also a powerful reminder that growth rarely comes from comfort.
Truth be told, this is a trip I've wanted to do for many years. Like a lot of worthwhile challenges, it always seemed easier to put it off until "someday". I'm grateful I finally committed.
The harder the challenge, the greater the reward.
WHAT'S A CHALLENGE YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF THAT MIGHT BE WORTH TACKLING?
I'd love to hear what's on the cards for you...
