A little Dolly update ❤️ She did wonderfully at the emergency vet yesterday. Huge shoutout to Dr. Jones and the team at @vcacanada.altavista for being so lovely and working with our girl. We wanted to share her X-rays (sorry, just photos of the screen 😅). You can see how tiny her actual frame is underneath all that weight. There’s over 7 cm of fat in the area measured. That extra tissue makes getting clear images and feeling what’s going on in her abdomen much harder. It’s a lot for her little body to carry, too. Her resting breathing rate has been around 40 breaths a minute, compared with the usual 15–30. She very possibly has asthma and will be on puffers for the foreseeable future to hopefully help settle the inflammation in her airways. She is also on antibiotics for a possible infection as well. We’ll repeat scans in a few months. We’re planning fine-needle samples of the mass on her neck to learn more and go from there. Today she’s happy, despite the airplane ears in this photo 🤣 She wanted me to stop taking pictures and pet her. Fair enough lol
#hellmanns #tunamelt #sandwich #enkelmat #varmmacka
