As a current student I was delighted at the opportunity to photograph The Drawing School in Dublin.
Founded in 2008 by Samuel Horler, the school offers academic courses in drawing and painting with instruction rooted in traditional drawing methods such as the Cours de Dessin by Charles Bargue, a 19th century drawing manual studied by art giants like Picasso and Van Gogh.
The School also houses a vast library and collection of drawings, plaster casts, and prints for students to work from as they deepen their practice.
I’m so glad I found this little gem off Merrion Square. Take a class - you wont regret it!
