Most people are going to watch this video and see a grilled cheese sandwich.

I see a daughter who was thinking about her Mom.

Peyton didn’t come from a picture-perfect background. There’s a lot of mother-daughter hurt in her story. But one thing she’s always done is think of me.

Sometimes it’s a bag of chips from school because she knows they’re my favorite. Sometimes it’s saving me a bite of something she found because she knows Mama loves food.

I always know when Peyton’s in the kitchen because if she’s cooking, she’s making something for Mom too.

So this grilled cheese isn’t really about the cheese.

It’s about trust.
It’s about healing.
It’s about a young woman learning that love can stay.

Never give up on people.

A lot can happen when you give God the gift of time.
