In recent weeks we’ve started hosting authors on the front porch of the Bookshop, and I think we’ve stumbled upon something incredibly special…and of course it also makes complete sense. Porches have always been places where people gather, slow down, share stories, and make connections. Just “be” for a moment in this crazy world. Yesterday, our porch became exactly that.

Thank you to Beck Dorey-Stein for such a thoughtful, warm, and engaging conversation. And thank you to everyone who joined us, asked wonderful questions, shared your own stories, and helped create a morning that felt genuinely magical.

Moments like these remind us that bookstores are about so much more than books. They’re about bringing people together.
