On the campaign trail, I made a promise to South Carolinians: Lowering costs would be my top priority. Today, I made my first stop as Senator-elect back on Shem Creek, where I first called on Washington to “lower the damn diesel.” I came back to make clear that my commitment hasn’t changed. I’ll work with anyone, regardless of party, to bring down costs for South Carolina families. That’s also why I called Senator Tim Scott today. I’m ready to put politics aside, find common ground, and get to work delivering results for the people of South Carolina.
The fastest way into someone’s heart is through the people who raised them. 🤝🏡 When you love someone, you don’t just get them. You get their parents, their siblings, their best friends and every person who helped shape who they are. Those relationships came long before you, and they’ll have a voice in your future whether you like it or not. Most people only invest in the person they’re with. The ones who build something that lasts invest in everyone that person loves. They check in on the parents. They show up for a sibling’s big day. They actually make the effort to know the best friend instead of just tolerating them. That kind of effort never goes unnoticed. Your partner sees it. Their family feels it. And slowly, you stop being the person they’re dating and become someone the whole family can’t imagine being without. Every time you invest in the people they love, you’re telling your partner something words never could. You’re not here for part of their life. You’re here for all of it. Love someone well, and honor the people who loved them first. So I just put on season 21 of sister wives - after not watching for a decade - and found out happily Kody is not on it anymore!!!! It’s actually interesting to see these women after him - fascinating in many ways @sisterwivestlc
the most gorgeous stay at @staytreehousemanchester this weekend 🌞 we got to try out one of their Cabin Suites and it’s probably one of the best hotel rooms we’ve stayed in! The view was incredible, the bed was so soft and comfy, and taking that bath was the most relaxed I’ve felt all year 🛁 It was topped off with a gorgeous meal and drinks at their new restaurant and bar @sistermoon.mcr & @thenest.mcr 🍸 absolutely immaculate vibes ✨ *pr stay #placestostay #staycation #cosyliving
No way they got me missing Bill Clinton rn 😭
From crazy nights, endless jokes, questionable decisions, and stories we can never tell in public to finally seeing you get married! Still can't believe someone willingly signed up for a lifetime of your madness. But jokes apart, you've found someone truly wonderful. She's beautiful, lovely, and clearly has the patience of a saint to put up with you. Couldn't be happier for you both. Here's to a lifetime of love, laughter, and a little bit of madness. Happy married life, bestie ! ❤️
