As His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum celebrates his 77th birthday, the skyline tells only part of the story. His vision has shaped the way Dubai moves, grows and imagines what comes next.
Born in Al Shindagha in 1949, Sheikh Mohammed entered public service at just 19. Since becoming Ruler of Dubai in 2006, he has helped transform ambitions into a city recognised around the world for business, tourism, innovation and possibility. And if there is one thing Dubai has taught us, it is that the future does not wait. Perhaps Sheikh Mohammed said it best himself:
“The race for excellence has no finish line.”
Beyond public life, Sheikh Mohammed is a celebrated Nabati poet, accomplished endurance rider, philanthropist and a lifelong champion of Emirati heritage.
At 77, the Ruler who dreamed for his people continues to build for their future. Happy Birthday, Your Highness!
