"Aulus Dans Les Champs" is the latest chapter in a piece that has been evolving ever since it was born during my artistic residency at CAMP in Aulus-les-Bains.
After "Aulus Sous Les Toits", this new live performance takes the music outdoors, surrounded by golden fields shaped by the summer sun. The piece remains the same at its core, yet every place, every performance, and every moment leaves its mark.
Performed entirely live using three Roland machines — SP-404MKII, S-1, and TR-6S — this 36-minute session is an invitation to slow down and let the landscape become part of the music.
There are no edits, no overdubs.
Rather than searching for a definitive version, I see Aulus as a living piece — one that keeps growing through places, encounters, and live performances.
If you've noticed the backpack in this video... it's not there by chance. There's a story behind it. You'll find it on my Instagram.
Why watch?
• Experience a live ambient performance recorded in the heart of the French countryside.
• Discover how a musical piece can evolve naturally over time instead of reaching a final form.
• Take 34 minutes to pause, breathe, and simply listen.
