10 years ago this day I stumbled upon a new @netflix TV show called Stranger Things. It was a brand new release that the algorithm had presented to me . I had no other knowledge , had read nothing about this & was completely in the dark as to what the show was.
I was blown away, not only by the show itself but the incredible synth heavy score.

I was on holiday in Cornwall (south west coast of England for those that don’t know it ) & there was a huge storm - anything other than watching TV indoors wasn’t an option.
I had very poor phone signal & wasn’t able to text or chat with anyone about what I’d seen.
I made a decision (which turned out to be one of my better ones) & braved the wind and rain & went up onto a cliff edge where I knew I would have some mobile reception.
I rang my good friend Brian McNelis of LA’s @lakeshorerecords. Brian was in Wisconsin on holiday himself at the time . I told Brian to stop whatever he was doing, get Netflix on & watch Stranger Things. I pleaded with him to make the call to Netflix ASAP. Brian is never one to miss out on a opportunity & reached out. The rest is history really.

10 years on to the day & Stranger Things has been such a huge part of @invadarecords & Lakeshore’s label history. @kvledixon & @michaelstein music sounds as fresh as it did on July 15th 2016.
