Honestly if I told myself years ago this is where I’d be I’d say that I was crazy. From being scared of bootcamp, to getting through this program and becoming something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m so grateful for the friends I’ve made here, and I can’t wait to see what path this will take me. I’ve learn so much and applied so much information to get to this point. (Even though DA and Rodriguez bulled me 😾) I can’t wait for more adventures and here’s to more to come. ⚕️⚓️

I grew up learning Bharatanatyam from the age of four and for the longest time, that was the only kind of dance form I knew. Even when I danced to western or folk at work events, I was always told I had a “classical touch.” My movements were rigid, my energy was low, I lacked flow and honestly I was hesitant and far from confident.
Then came October 17th 2019, the day I decided to document my dance journey here on Instagram, not knowing where it would take me. I just knew I wanted to get better.
And I kept going. ❤️
Through learning from youtube videos, online classes during the pandemic, countless hours of practice, experimenting with different styles, creating my own choreographies, attending dance workshops, pushing my boundaries and showing up even when progress felt slow.
Somewhere along the way, I found more than just better movement. I found freedom, expression and a confidence I didn’t have when I started.
And this is exactly what @do.what_moves.you has always meant to me. To follow what moves you, keep showing up for it and let it transform you in ways you never imagined.
7 years in. Still learning. Still growing. Still moving. And I am nowhere near done. 🥹❤️🧿 I’m thankful to all my teachers and grateful for all my cheerleaders. 🫂✨
