Anti-Israeli sentiment is on the rise in Thailand. But it's not about the genocide in Palestine. Gaza is being used as a convenient tool in a larger political game – by actors whose politics depend on a narrow, racialised, blood-and-soil nationalism, write Kullathida Krajangkul and Elliot Lodge. While most people were rushing to escape an approaching hurricane, one man reportedly had something else on his mind — saving the animals that couldn’t escape on their own. ❤️ He transformed an entire bus into a real-life Noah’s Ark, packing it with rescued dogs, cats, carriers, blankets, food, and whatever other supplies he could fit. With a powerful storm closing in, he was trying to keep dozens of frightened animals safe while getting them out of harm’s way. Leaving would have been the easier choice. He could’ve assumed someone else would come for them. Instead, he reportedly refused to leave them behind and gave them a chance to survive. The animals may never understand how much effort someone went through to save their lives… but that somehow makes the story even more touching. 🥹❤️

When our Constitution came into force in 1950, it said the State can’t discriminate against any citizen because of their caste. Over the years we also created categories like SC, ST and OBC, so communities that were kept out of schools, jobs and power for centuries could finally get a fair share. But a law can only change what the State does. It can’t change who people are willing to marry or let into their kitchens. Those rules are still made inside families and villages, and they are far older than any law. What keeps them alive is that caste isn’t just one group pressing down on another. It’s a long ladder where almost every group stands above someone. Even people who face discrimination are often raised to look down on the caste below them, so very few want the ladder gone completely. Ambedkar called this graded inequality. So when someone says caste is a thing of the past, they usually mean it’s no longer a problem for them. For the people at the bottom of that ladder, it still decides where they can live and how they are spoken to every day. Movie: Article 15 Streaming on: Youtube
