a big age gap isn’t ideal for many families because they think the siblings will grow up to be so distant from each other because of the age difference. But the truth is that she’s been my number one fan and supporter during this season.
She wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary or going out of her way to take care of me of MG. She was simply being herself. She was being supportive and loving through the good days and the hard days.
My postpartum with Harper was much different. I’m trying to think of an eloquent way to describe it other than “it was hard”

The first was so difficult because I needed the assistance navigating twins. The second time felt fine, for 10 days until postpartum anxiety hit after a medical problem that resulted in a spinal tap for my 10 day old and a hospital stay. After that I was a wreck! I had assistance for my older children so it would’ve been so much easier, if not for the anxiety😩💛

We absolutely love our big age gap. Their relationship is so sweet, and my 5 year old is ready for more independence so I have more to give to my baby. He and I have plenty of one-on-one time during naps, and he loves being a helper & big brother. I wish more people talked about how lovely a big age gap is!!! It was definitely the right choice for our family❤️

There is a 6 1/2 year age gap between me and my brother. I am the youngest. I feel like I had the best of both worlds. When I was in high school, he was in College so I got to experience being an only child😂😂 I have never felt the age gap at all. Probably because he's a tinge immature too--even at our now big ages. I say all this to say, the age gap of your girls may not matter to them at all❤️
