**AfrikaBurn 2026** 🏜️🔥

What an incredible week in the Tankwa. A great first time at Afrikaburn experience.

From exploring amazing art installations and witnessing unforgettable burns to dancing under the stars and embracing the unexpected, AfrikaBurn was an experience I'll never forget.

One of the highlights was diving into so many workshops—learning new skills, hearing different perspectives, and taking time to create, reflect, and try things I'd never experienced before. There was always something new to discover around every corner.

The desert has a way of slowing you down, inspiring creativity, and reminding you to be present. Leaving dusty, inspired, and already looking forward to the next burn.

Until next time, AfrikaBurn. ❤️🔥

Why Man United need to be punished like Man City! 👀

Multiple surfing media outlets are reporting an Australian girl was harmed during an incident involving multiple men.
Alan Cleland Jr has been suspended in the wake of the allegations, which are described as 'deeply concerning in nature'.
“The World Surf League confirms that a competitor on the 2026 Men’s Championship Tour has been suspended after the WSL was recently made aware of allegations of a deeply serious nature involving the competitor,” the World Surf League said.
“The allegations involve conduct in relation to a private gathering in Tahiti in August.
"The gathering was not affiliated with the WSL. All WSL competitors are bound by the conduct standards outlined in the WSL Rule Book, at all times.
"After being informed of the allegations, the WSL Discipline Committee took prompt action and issued a provisional suspension to the competitor from all WSL events.”
Tahitian longboarder and photographer Vaimiti Teiefitu said on her Instagram page that three men were involved.
“Recently, something extremely disturbing happened here in Teahupo’o, involving a young girl, ” she said.
“I’m still waiting to learn more about the situation, but what I’ve heard is deeply concerning, especially knowing that the three people reportedly involved are known in the community.”

The dessert table was always my favorite part of Thanksgiving. Not just because of the sweets, but because it meant dinner was over, everyone was lingering a little longer, and there was still time for one more cup of coffee and another story around the table.
These Maple Pecan Blondies feel like the kind of recipe that belongs in those moments. Chewy, maple-filled, topped with maple glazed pecans, and just cozy enough for a chilly November day.
They may not be a family recipe yet, but have a feeling they could become one. 🤎🍁

Maple Pecan Blondies

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sweet bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, or your favorite good quality maple syrup
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
2 tsp vanilla bean paste
1/2 cup maple glazed pecans, chopped
For the icing:
1 TBSP butter, melted
3 TBSP maple syrup, the same kind you used in the blondies
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt your butter in a small saucepan over medium low heat. Cook, stirring or swirling the pan often as the butter foams, bubbles and begins to brown and smell nutty and caramely, about 5-7 minutes. When it’s a nice golden brown, remove from the heat to cool for a few minutes.
In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
In a large bowl, add the brown sugar and maple syrup and stir together combine. Then add in the brown butter and stir. Add in the egg and the egg yolk and then the vanilla and mix well. Fold in the dry ingredients and then the chopped pecans.
Pour the batter in your prepared pan and smooth to an even layer. Bake for 24-28 minutes or until golden brown, the edges have set and the middle is still soft. Let the blondies cool completely before icing. For the icing, whisk l the icing ingredients together in a medium bowl until nice and smooth. Pour over the cooled blondies and top with more chopped pecans if desired. Slice into squares and enjoy!!!
