Angel of the Ranch - The Trailer

I thought I came looking for a rancher.
Instead, I found a brother.

The desert preached before
either of us spoke
through wind, stone, silence,
and a God too vast
to be confined by the walls we build.

His prayers carried echoes of ancient songs.
Mine remembered distant African plains.
Different languages.
The same longing for the Creator.

We spoke of crosses and ceremonies,
of traditions that wound,
and traditions that heal.
Of losing ourselves,
then finding Christ without forgetting
our names.

Somewhere between the dust and the sky
I realised I wasn’t witnessing two stories,
but one.

I left wearing silver on my hand,
but carrying something far more precious -

the quiet certainty
that grace never asks us to abandon
who we are;
it simply teaches us
who we were created to become.
