Canadian families will receive slightly higher Canada Child Benefit payments during the 2026–27 benefit year, with the maximum annual amount rising by as much as $160 per child per month.

For example, a family with a five-year-old and a nine-year-old, along with an adjusted family net income of $65,000, is expected to receive about $11,430 during 2026–27.
