Happiest anniversary to the greatest most unique R&B album of all time @aaliyah #Aaliyah25 #TheRedAlbum25 #25YearsofAaliyah I remember I was 12 in 2002 I was living in Mississippi at the time and I saw the last official copy at Target and I asked my mom can I get it she said “no put it back” but the rebel in me didn’t listen to her 😂😂🙈I held it so tight in my hands til we got to the register and my lil sister was like “didn’t mom tell you no” I looked at her and said “shut up hush 🤫 “ as I quietly snuck it on there without her seeing it as the other items was being paid for lol I’m sure she saw the receipt as we was heading to the car 😂😂😂I love telling this story because it’s one of my favorite memories of the Aaliyah album that I shall keep wit me forever lol 😆 I went home and played it on my CD player and my brother happened to call us that day from Job Corp and I told him I got the album he was excited that I did because he knows how much I love her music I kept it til 2007 I wore that album out so hard til it cracked 😂😂😂 if I didn’t rebel against my mom that day I wouldn’t have ever got to experience listening to the album I’m glad I did I love and miss you so much Mama and #RIPAaliyah my favorite from the album is the whole album lol can’t choose that’s how great the album is #ThankYouAaliyah ❤️❤️❤️
