Round two on us? ❤️

Join us on Friday, July 31, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, for our second Uptown Fridays of the season, developed in collaboration with Terrance Thomas of OTH Songs (@keepitoth).

Our lineup features a serene ambient set from A Space for Sound (@aspaceforsound), cerebral songstress keiyaA (@keiyaa), an R&B-inspired set by rapper SALIMATA (@eet_it_off_me), and a DJ set by KING SHABAZZ (@_kingshabazz_) that will keep you dancing through the night.

Dance, explore the galleries, and enjoy stunning views and delicious drinks on the Rooftop Terrace. Guests 21+ receive one free signature cocktail, courtesy of our beverage sponsor, Hennessy (@hennessyus). One free signature cocktail or mocktail per guest.

Please note: Access to the fifth and sixth floors is reserved for Uptown Fridays ticket holders, but the rest of the museum remains open with general admission.

"On the hush songs" is a gorgeous name to build a night around. Sends me straight to the hush harbors — the brush-arbor clearings where enslaved folks slipped off after dark to sing and worship out of earshot, muffling the sound with overturned wash pots and wet quilts. The spirituals came out of that. Music made in the quiet, on purpose, then carried up to Harlem. Fitting home for it.
