Service, generosity and care for others. Values we’re proud to see Australians carry around the world.

Rabbi Avromy Super puts them into practice at Chabad of St Lucia, bringing people together and supporting his community.

His brother Yanky showed that same spirit serving as a volunteer medic during the antisemitic Bondi terror attack.

It was good to see them both again while here for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

ROZŠIŘUJI NÁŠ TÝM. MOŽNÁ HLEDÁM PRÁVĚ VÁS. 🤍

1. PROVOZNÍ ASISTENT/KA – SKLAD A ORGANIZACE ZBOŽÍ

Práce s našimi módními kolekcemi, organizace skladů, zařazování oblečení po stylingu, vybalování a příprava nového zboží.

2. PROVOZNÍ ASISTENT/KA – KLIENTSKÝ SERVIS A PÉČE O STUDIO

Minivlog #633 | Amma Veetu Deepavali Seer ❤️🥹
Some gifts are more than just things; they carry a mother’s unconditional love, blessings and emotions. No matter how grown up we become, at our mother’s home, we will always be her little girl. Every little thing she lovingly prepares and gives us has a special place in our hearts. It’s not about the value of the gifts, but the love and thought behind them. Truly, nothing can replace a mother’s affection and blessings. Feeling grateful for these beautiful moments and the endless love of Amma. ❤️

Being a South Indian, I was always romanticised by the idea of Karva Chauth, largely thanks to Bollywood movies. When I got married, I remember thinking, “This is something I would love to do too.” I love my husband, and I felt this was one beautiful way of expressing that love.

And here we are, 15 years later, and I’m still keeping the fast! I’m that South Indian woman who loves dressing up traditionally, sitting amidst all the beautifully dressed ladies, embracing the rituals and participating in whatever way I can.

But you know what? There’s something truly beautiful about these rituals. And I can only speak for myself here. For me, it comes straight from the heart. It’s never about believing that this is the only way to express my love for my husband. It’s simply one of the many little ways in which I choose to celebrate that love.

And the beauty is that he is equally involved in the whole process. When he’s home, he’s around, constantly checking on me, asking if I’m okay, and being there for the Chand dekhna and all the little traditions that come with it.

I think that’s what makes these rituals special. It’s not just about the fasting or the customs; it’s about the emotions, the togetherness and the little moments that become memories. And that’s the real beauty of it all.
