All opinions are mine. This book had me immediately captivated with its spooky vibes. I definitely loved the murder investigation revolving around a creepy inn, an abandoned spooky hospital & a strange town that gave the story such an unsettling and eerie atmosphere. The writing style was quite easy and engaging making the narrative easy and quick to follow. The fun & witty banter between Corbin and Wren was my favourite part of this book . I really enjoyed their dynamic which kept things quite entertaining and lively. That said, I felt that the supernatural aspect of the book was quite underdeveloped. I also found the ending quite disappointing and confusing as it left me with more questions. I expected a bit more clarity. 👉 Overall , it was a quick and easy entertaining read . First of all, this is such a promising debut. I loved how easy and engaging the writing in this book was, along with how character-driven the story felt. I absolutely loved the friendship dynamics between Grace & Jo . They added so much value and personality to the storyline. There were lots of humorous and lighter moments that made this such an entertaining read. I really enjoyed the amateur-sleuth aspect of the story with two women getting involved in solving a murder mystery. That said, the mystery itself lacked depth for me . I wanted more suspense and twists. The pacing also felt quite uneven at times with some sections moving quite slower than expected. While I enjoyed Grace's internal monologues, their repetitive nature was quite distracting. I also predicted the killer quite early on. 👉 Overall, this was a fun, entertaining cosy murder mystery with character driven storylin

PROTEIN POWDER 101! + 3 protein smoothie recipes below 👇 with @formnutrition (the protein I’ve used for 8 years) AD! As a qualified trainer, Form performance protein is the protein I have always recommended. It ticks the Leucine threshold (albeit debated, it’s still important!) where many other brands fall short. It also blends really well into smoothies, no chalky texture, and is Informed Sport Certified (the gold standard for independent testing!) My favourite flavour is chocolate peanut! Tastes like a a snickers bar 😊 I find if you eat them with food, in smoothies or an oat bowl / bake, they taste great every time. Protein smoothie 3 ways: Snickers-in-a-glass: 250ml soy milk 1 serving of Form Performance Protein (Chocolate Peanut Flavour) 3 tbsp rolled oats 1 tbsp chia seeds Creatine (optional) 2 tsp peanut butter Pinch of sea salt 1 Ice cube Dash of water if needed for blending consistency Green Goddess Smoothie: 250ml Soy Milk 1 serving of Form Performance Protein (Vanilla Flavour) 1 small banana 1 medium handful of spinach 2 tsp almond butter 1 tbsp chia seeds Pinch of sea salt 1 ice cube Dash of water if needed for blending consistency Blueberry & Almond Butter Smoothie: 250ml Soy Milk 1 serving of Form Performance Protein (Vanilla Flavour) 1 handful of blueberries (fresh or frozen) 3 tbsp rolled oats 2 tsp almond butter 1 tbsp chia seeds Pinch of sea salt 1 ice cube Dash of water if needed for blending consistency Method: Place ingredients in a blender cup and blend until very smooth, adding more water if you prefer a thinner consistency!
