DSA's second largest chapter has voted overwhelmingly at their yearly convention to call on AOC to run for President in 2028. Groundworkers in LA worked with DSA members of many tendencies to draft and support this resolution, which will allow DSA-LA to prepare a slate of downballot candidates, begin discussions with labor, and start basebuilding and fundraising for 2028 throughout LA. DSA's members are ready to get to work- we encourage all who want the org to meet the moment in 2028 to start organizing in their chapters today!

I voted against. This will be bad for the DSA—even worse if AOC does win prez. Yes it’s not an endorsement, but only bc AOC is not yet running. But it commits us to push for it & other “dsa candidates” who mostly run as Dems (shout out to indy @brittanyforri). Workers already see DSA as just the Dems, and went right in 2024 bc they hated the status quo & the only one they saw against it was Trump! AOC is a proven support of the bosses (voted to break the rail strike) and genocide (supported the iron dome)—she will do worse in the top seat! Break from the status quo, break from the Dems! Workers need a workers party!

I would have much preferred the title “preparing a socialist push in 2028” or something that isn’t pre-coronating AOC

This is one of many reasons I won’t roll with DSA. More D team “compromises” with good marketing but no real departure from capitalism and colonialism

This is seeming like controlled opposition more and more everyday. AOC ain't ushering in any sort of socialist utopia. She's literally the distraction from it. Same with ZM. I await the hateful comments telling me that I'm not welcome in the DSA or any other social democrat org. 🤌

David Duke of the kKK and bootlicking liberals stand in solidarity with the fascist dictatorship of Palestine. HAMAS is pleased

IMO, AOC should pick a Municipal Socialist Mayor for VP, like Peter Schwartzman, for example.

As a DSA member, I am appalled that this sleazy zionist, capitalist, and imperialist is even allowed in the organization after all her misdeeds, let alone that there are still sickos in the org who would push her for any office

DSA needs to abandon the extreme-right Democrat party, but especially the bootlicking imperialist lackey AOCia

The DSA was created by a Zionist in 1982, so it tracks that they'd want another Zionist.
