The “white-pored chicken of the woods” mushroom lives in the roots of a red oak in my yard. This is my second foraged mushroom experience, and I’m much more eager to repeat this one. The flavor and texture is really very nice on a pizza. Mushroom from the woods, jalapeños & basil from the garden, tomatoes from @kingdomgardensnc, mozzarella & pesto from ~the store~, on homemade dough. 🤤
