We’re uncovering a lot of emotions in these videos. 🥹 Mia and I had some incredible talks after we filmed these. She so raw and real with ya’ll. Transitioning is hard for EVERYONE in the family. ❤️ #family #trans #transgender #familythings #beforeandafter

🇺🇸 Living the American Dream! 🙏🏼 Thank God, yesterday I took another huge step toward achieving my dreams and providing a better life for my family. I still can’t believe I’m officially a UFC fighter! It’s going to take some time to sink in. None of this would have been possible without the people who stood by my side, supported me, and believed in me. I’m incredibly grateful to my family, friends, training partners, coaches, and physical therapists. This achievement belongs to you too! It was an extremely difficult week, with my wife hospitalized while I had to be away, focused on one of the biggest moments of my career. I’m forever grateful to the friends who stayed with her at the hospital, day and night. I’ll never forget what you did for us! Today, thank God, my wife is back home, our daughter is doing well, and I’m living a dream I’ve fought for so many years to achieve. All I can do is thank God for everything! May He bless and protect each and every one of you! This is just the beginning! NOTHING CHANGES, FOLLOW THE PLAN! 🇧🇷 Vivendo o sonho americano! NADA MUDA, SEGUE O PLANO!

Oftentimes, women aren’t “well-liked” when they think for themselves and walk away from things that no longer serve them. But French artist Françoise Gilot was one who did it anyway, persevering in the wake of an unhappy ex-partner, Pablo Picasso, who tried to derail her career. Despite his efforts, she sustained an 80-year career as an #artist, independent of her association with the famed Picasso. She lived to be 101(!) and is a true example of independence and perseverance.
