Meet Spring 2026 MCA Academy Artist Camille Sledge! 🎶

A singer, educator, and community leader based in Phoenix, Arizona, Camille Sledge is dedicated to expanding access to the arts through music, mentorship, and education. As co-founder of the School of Hip Hop Chops and lead vocalist for the Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Camille has spent more than a decade empowering young people through creative expression. Her career includes performing internationally, opening for The Roots, and being named Best Vocalist by Phoenix Magazine.

Through her MCA Academy project, School of Hip Hop Chops, Camille is helping underserved families across Maricopa County to address food insecurity. The event provides culturally relevant music, dance, a documentary, food, and community. Local multicultural chefs will compete and in the process, teach families quick and easy recipes to support healthy families.
