Originally conceived as a collage series produced between 2012 and 2013, Resimli Bilgi takes its title from an old children’s encyclopedia. The alphabetical organization of the encyclopedia generated unexpected juxtapositions, becoming the starting point for a practice shaped by chance encounters between images.

In collaboration with the designers of Karton Kitap, photographs and illustrations from the original collages were fragmented, rearranged, and dispersed throughout the pages of the publication without a fixed sequence. Revisiting the book years later, Özcan introduced additional cuts and folds, further breaking apart the images and creating new chance compositions that echo the logic of the original collages.
