Committed to the principle of moving beyond anthropocentric dualisms, Berlin-born artist Timur Si-Qin creates ecosystems that merge technology and nature to challenge common notions of the organic versus the synthetic.
Si-Qin blends precise 3D scans of landscapes with a deep knowledge of ecological principles. His practice explores anthropological ideas including religion, marketing psychology and new materialist philosophy, all of which inform the creation of a multi-media practice spanning sculpture, lightboxes, and large-scale installations.
Albion Jeune looks forward to many exciting forthcoming projects alongside Timur Si-Qin.
