😂 Back in 2018, Elon Musk told Joe Rogan that the next Tesla Roadster could use ultra-high-pressure compressed air and cold-gas thrusters, and the idea sounded so ridiculous that Rogan could barely believe what he was hearing. Musk described a SpaceX-style performance package with high-pressure tanks and thrusters capable of adding massive acceleration, years before Tesla had anything physical to prove it. Eight years later, Tesla finally demonstrated the concept for real, with the new Roadster using SpaceX-developed thruster technology to hit 0–60 mph in just 0.81 seconds, launch into the air and perform controlled aerial maneuvers. What once sounded like one of Musk’s wildest promises suddenly looked a lot less impossible. And to Rogan’s credit, his reaction in the original conversation was more fascinated disbelief than outright dismissal, even pushing Musk on just how fast the thruster-equipped Roadster could go. Would you have believed this was actually possible back in 2018? What are your thoughts? 🤔💭 FOLLOW ➡️ @hypewhip for more insane automotive engineering and future car technology! 🤝🏎️ #tesla #teslaroadster #spacex #elonmusk #joerogan
Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani said India was ranked 155th in the world in internet consumption before Jio’s arrival and has since become number one. He made the remarks while addressing the Jio Conference. Ambani said internet consumption in the country has kept rising since Jio entered the market in 2016. He credited the telecom operator’s entry with driving the sharp increase in data use across the country. A slide shown during his presentation referred to data consumption per customer of 43.7 GB and to a comparison with other operators over the last three years. Jio began commercial services in September 2016 and is now India’s largest telecom operator by subscribers. Its entry set off a price war that sharply cut mobile data rates across the industry. Low-cost data plans are seen as having pushed millions of Indians online for the first time, boosting the use of video streaming, social media and digital payments. Data consumption in India has grown rapidly over the past decade, driven by cheaper smartphones, widespread 4G coverage and rising demand for online entertainment, education and financial services. Ambani said the company will continue to focus on expanding access and improving the digital experience for users across the country.
#sandylintermakeup💄 Gia from a shoot I did with her in the Hamptons. I stayed in her room at Scavullos’ home with the fabulous crew. It was 40 years ago that she was taken to the hospital where she would succumb to AIDS a year later. I knew her intimately for such a brief 4 years. You all got know her through a book and a movie. @harrrryking ♥️ @modelcarolalt ♥️ #francescoscavullo ♥️ Vogue Magazine August /september 1980
