HELP! Donations needed. This is not how I expected my Friday morning to go. I noticed a dog in a crate on the side of the road in the hot sun, just laying there. I called a friend and asked if they could help.

When we arrived, we noticed the dog was laying in its own feces with flies and fleas all over with no food. 😩 Then noticed a second dog in the same condition. There was a man sitting there with who said they weren’t his dogs, and he wasn’t sure who they belong to. There’s a lot going on in this encampment so we yelled to try to find an owner and no one stepped up. We could not get any straight answers. All I know is that we were not going to leave these dogs in this condition. We’re having a big heatwave here in Southern California and these poor animals had no protection from the elements.

If you’re going to have a dog, you need to provide appropriate care and that’s that. Apologies for the language.

No one stepped up so we’re considering these dogs abandoned and we were not about to allow them to die from heat stroke today.

We always have a plan, A and Plan B in place for every dog we rescue. This was completely unexpected and we have no place for these dogs so they will be going with our trainer until we can find fosters. These guys are just about a year old and are beyond sweet, but zero training and incredibly hyper from being pent up, locked in a small little cage.

They’re now with our vet, getting exams, vaccinated, etc. They weren’t chipped, of course.

Please consider donating. These dogs need the works.
