First Lady Melania Trump advanced a landmark program to improve women’s health through a new executive order that strengthens research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care for girls and women throughout every stage of life. “Previous generations fought for women’s rights. Our generation will fight to discover the cures that will ensure a woman can live her life in health and to the fullest,” The First Lady said from the White House. The Executive Order establishes a White House Women’s Health Task Force and establishes a new Women’s Health Division within the National Institutes of Health to accelerate scientific discoveries to improve women’s health outcomes. First Lady Melania Trump highlighted her “First Lady’s Five Pillars of Women’s Health Innovation:” Direct research funding towards finding cures that affect women in a unique way. Use super intelligence to enhance our insight of female biology and speed up medical discoveries. Accelerate the process of getting promising therapeutics from laboratories to female patients, while maintaining strict safety standards. Ensure that medical breakthroughs are accessible and affordable to women, regardless of their financial circumstances. Replace generations of silence with open conversation, education, and compassion. The Executive Order on Advancing Women’s Health to Improve Outcomes in All Phases of Life also recognizes the importance of collaboration with the private sector in advancing new technologies and solutions for women’s health. Through these efforts, the Trump Administration will work to ensure American women have access to the highest-quality, scientifically supported medical information and care while advancing new treatments, therapies, and cures. To learn more about the Executive Order, read the fact sheet released by the White House.
Morning me time, MY time
For her 8th birthday, we gave our daughter her very own @landiephone and it is officially the “best gift ever” (her words 🙈) But honestly? The gift we received as parents might be even greater. The house is now constantly filled with the sound of her giggling into the receiver as she chats endlessly with grandparents, cousins, and friends. There is something so magical about watching her enter a phase of childhood we didn’t think our children would ever get to experience. The nostalgic simplicity of creating space for authentic human connection, while safely building independence has meant more to us than we ever anticipated 🥹 The cord twirling, the kicking feet, the giggles… it’s a little piece of the 90’s we didn’t know we were missing. ❤️ #landie #landlinephone #90skid #familyconnection
Dr Charlotte Proudman secured one of the first published judgments to define and apply the term “gaslighting” — recognising it as a form of domestic abuse. Gaslighting is a covert type of emotional abuse where the abuser creates a false narrative and makes the victim question their judgment and reality. Dr Proudman represented “Denise”, who was suffering through a family court battle with the father of her child, a man who had raped and abused her. During proceedings, the perpetrator attempted to frame her as the stereotype of an irrational woman and destroy her credibility and the credibility of her allegations. A family court judge had told Denise that he would have her daughter removed from her, adopted and placed in care if she continued with her allegations. Dr Proudman took Denise’s case to appeal to challenge the perpetrator’s application for contact with their daughter. At a fact-finding hearing, Cobb J (as he then was) made findings of sexual assault and emotional manipulation that had caused Denise “severe anxiety, depression, and trauma”. Significantly, he held that Dr Proudman’s use of the term “gaslighting” to describe the father’s conduct as “apposite”. The judge ordered a hearing into the impact of this abuse on Denise and her daughter to determine a future arrangement order. At this point, the perpetrator dropped his case and stopped seeking contact. Abusers have long been warping victims’ realities, but there had previously been no legal term for it. The judge’s use of the term gaslighting gives victims a language for the harm they suffer. Proudmans is a specialist family law firm founded by Dr Charlotte Proudman to represent survivors of abuse. We ensure our clients receive excellent, trauma-informed representation as well as the benefit of a firm shaping the law.
Apparently the bodybuilding cheat code is just taking steroids and waking up huge. PEDs are obviously part of enhanced bodybuilding, nobody is pretending they aren't. But they don't train for you, eat for you, recover for you or give you years of consistency. If drugs did all the work, everyone taking them would look like a pro 🤷🏼‍♂️
