🎬❤️ Notes from the Last Row is an upcoming South Korean psychological suspense drama series scheduled for global release on Netflix on June 26, 2026. The 6-episode series is directed by Kim Gyu-tae and written by Jang Myung-woo. It serves as a television adaptation of the acclaimed 2006 Spanish stage play El chico de la última fila (The Boy in the Last Row) by Juan Mayorga. Plot Overview👇✨ The story follows Heo Mun-oh, a bitter university Korean literature professor and failed novelist who has been unable to write a second book since facing harsh criticism in his youth. His monotonous life takes a dark, unsettling turn when he reads an assignment from Lee Kang, a quiet engineering student who sits in the very back row of his classroom. Astonished by the boy's raw brilliance, the professor invites him into a private, one-on-one writing mentorship. However, Lee Kang's serial submissions-which often feature voyeuristic, highly detailed observations of his classmates' private lives-rekindle Mun-oh's dormant literary ambition. As the professor grows pathologically consumed by the unfolding narratives, the boundaries of control, fiction, and reality completely collapse, pulling both men into a dangerous psychological game.
