THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REALMS
The physical world is all we can see with our natural eyes, but Scripture reminds us that there is an unseen spiritual reality operating beyond human sight.
The Kingdom of God is the realm where God’s will is perfectly done. It is the place of His holiness, righteousness, truth, and eternal life. There is no darkness in Him.
The kingdom of darkness is the domain of Satan’s rebellion—built on deception, pride, fear, sin, and separation from God. Its purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy, but it has already been defeated through Christ.
The mortal realm is where we live today. It is the battlefield where every person chooses whom they will follow. Though we live in the physical, the war is spiritual.
The Bible says:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” — Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” — Colossians 1:13 (KJV)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
“The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” — John 1:5 (KJV)
