Watching Cabo Verde at the FIFA World Cup here in Houston is something I’ll never forget. To witness our small islands represented on the world’s biggest stage, surrounded by thousands of Cape Verdeans singing, celebrating, and carrying our flag with pride, is deeply emotional.
