Abhijeet Dipke is an Indian political communications strategist, activist, and the founding president of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a viral youth-led satirical political movement in India.
Background and Education
Personal Life: Born on September 29, 1995, Dipke grew up in a Dalit family in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Maharashtra.
Education: He completed his undergraduate degree in journalism in Pune and later moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree in Public Relations at Boston University.
Early Career: Before gaining widespread digital fame, he worked as a digital communications strategist and spent time from 2020 to 2023 volunteering with the social media team of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)
Dipke launched the satirical digital front on May 16, 2026. The movement was sparked by controversial remarks made a day earlier by the Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, who had referred to unemployed youth and certain social media activists as "cockroaches" and "parasites of society".
Responding with the internet question, "What if all cockroaches came together?", Dipke rapidly built a massive online following. The movement serves as a Gen-Z platform targeting heavy issues like hyper-competitive student stress, institutional unemployment, and widespread examination paper leaks (such as NEET, CUET, and the Maharashtra TET). Within weeks, the CJP accumulated over 19 million followers on its Abhijeet Dipke Instagram page.
