Bro spent 3,000 years fighting for a woman who wouldn't even spend 3 seconds saving him 💔😭 In The Mummy Returns (2001), Imhotep finally realizes the difference between the love he thought he had and the love Rick and Evelyn share. While Evelyn risks everything to save Rick, Anck-su-namun abandons Imhotep to save herself. That smile wasn't madness. It was the moment he realized he'd sacrificed everything for someone who wouldn't do the same for him. He'd rather let go than live with that realization, and we were way too young to understand how heartbreaking that was.
