Better late than never... Yesterday, I had the honor of being pinned as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Looking back, it's hard to believe this journey has brought me to this point. Every challenge, setback, long day, and lesson has played a part in shaping the leader I strive to be. First and foremost, thank you to my wife. You carried so much at home, allowing me to focus on serving our Navy while you poured into our family and our kids. None of this happens without your sacrifice. To every leader who refused to let me settle for "good enough," thank you for pushing me toward the uncomfortable and expecting more from me than I sometimes expected from myself. Your investment didn't go unnoticed. And to my junior Sailors you are the reason I continue to show up every day. Leadership has never been about rank; it's about leaving people better than you found them. My hope is that one day you'll stand where I stood yesterday, only more prepared than we were because someone chose to invest in you. This promotion isn't the finish line it's another reminder that with humility comes greater responsibility. I'm grateful for every person who's been part of this journey, and I'm looking forward to what's next.
