Sometimes you don’t get weeks to experience a destination… just the willingness to make the most of the time you have.

Our long layover gave us 26 hours in Addis Ababa, and it ended up being one of the most educational and eye-opening parts of our trip. It was a reminder that every destination has a story worth discovering, no matter how much time you have. 🤗🇪🇹

Some of you have spent years trying to find friendship in family members who have never made you feel emotionally safe.

And perhaps the hardest part to accept is that you’ve been confusing the obligation to maintain a relationship with the safety required to be vulnerable in one.

Being related doesn’t automatically make someone trustworthy. And loving your family doesn’t mean you have to keep giving them access to parts of your life they haven’t demonstrated the capacity to handle.

This isn’t about dishonoring family, encouraging division, or withholding love. It’s about recognizing that shared history does not guarantee emotional safety, and familiarity does not automatically produce friendship.

If you’re fortunate enough to have family members who are also your friends, cherish them. That’s a blessing.

But if you don’t, I hope you stop feeling guilty for acknowledging what the relationship actually is instead of grieving what you’ve always wanted it to be.

You can love people without continuing to hurt yourself trying to be close to them, friend. I hope this helps the people who need it most ❤️🫶🏾

here’s a closer look at my outfit for the uk premiere of @thehungergames sunrise on the reaping - created by the absolutely incredible @harrietchristelow, with @stilauk ‘s electric sky liner and makeup by @makeupbymiapike, photographed by the super talented @jenny_graphic 🦋

i had this vision in my head many moons ago of a 70s-style suit, overblooming in flowers and butterflies like the 50th hunger games arena. harriet not only built that vision, she absolutely exceeded it. her embroidery work and hand-sewing is impeccable, and the idea to create flares from two pairs of trousers was absolute genius. i also ended up sourcing the most gorgeous vintage tie from greece that tied everything together with my pin from the book launch 🧵

but my favourite element of this entire suit isn’t even visible from the outside. because inside the lining of the suit, with the help of @sendnickpic , was a list of every single follower. every person who helped me along the way. everyone who supported me, guided me, was there for me when i needed them and were patient with me when i wasn’t around. i absolutely would not be in the position without every single one of you 💜

staying in the dorsett hotel in shepherds bush, the bar area really reminded me of the tribute centre from catching fire - but the mid-century era version like sunrise on the reaping. in such a short time, jenny really came through and captured such a gorgeous set of pics 🤩

thank you everyone who really came through for me on this incredible look, it was such a joy to watch everyone’s reactions - particularly the cast!!!
