A lot of people ask me what I do for a living and the short answer is cool shit🤠✨🧚🏼♀️
…but on a longer note, I work in conservation and currently I’m on a prescribed burn crew based out of Missouri. I know recently I’ve been posting a lot more “rave content”, and trust I’ve thought about making a whole separate page for it, but I’ve come to the realization that there are two wolves inside me. One is a pretty rave girl💖✨🧚🏼♀️🧿🍄 and one is trying to learn 100 species of prairie plants for a month long prairie health survey🦬🦋🌾🌼🫠They are opposite sides of the same coin. I am not one without the other and I need both in order to balance myself out (Gemini tings✨♊️)
There’s misconception about the work that I do because in a way I do have to disrupt the environment around me in order to help guide it to a healthier state. On the other hand, people think all I do at raves is pop pills and shove stuff up my nose, when actually it’s not as black and white in either case.
There are more commonalities between conservation and raving than one might think, but my favorite one is the community surrounding both of them. Everyone is extremely passionate about what they do, and eventually the people who do not have this passion leave and the ones that do stay. It’s really easy to lose the plot, but day in and day out I see people with a common goal and learning to compromise with each other in order to achieve it.
ego has no room in nature or on the dance floor
and that is my why💖
