The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we say only what our Lord is pleased with, to Allah we belong and to him we return.

I don’t know where to start. This picture resembles it all. A man so content with God’s decree that his smile veiled the pain and struggle he endured throughout his sickness. A man who had nothing but الحمدلله on his tongue as he was being told about his terminal diagnosis. A man who looked at his right arm and said “الحمدلله” when he had a stroke paralyzing his left side. A man who dedicated his life to serving his parents, family and community, always prioritizing others over himself. A man that will forever be my role model. A man that I raise my head high carrying his last name.
