To progress, you need patience. Progress is never a smooth or straight road. It’s full of bumps, ups and downs, setbacks and unexpected turns. But that’s why success takes time. It takes consistency, resilience and most importantly, patience. After two rounds of PRP injections and over 14 weeks away from the track, I’ve finally made it back to my first session. One of my biggest lessons throughout this process has been learning to trust the work I’m putting in, even when I can’t see the results just yet. You’ll get there in time. Just keep chipping away. 🤍
Happy Birthday My Lolita! You came to me in a Dream. A fever dream. A Dream called Life. If I tried to write it all down, I would cry a river of tears. Your chin was tilted up in my birth canal, you were looking for the stars you were stuck. After 18 hours of labor and your heartbeat slowing down, an emergency C-section was the only option. Did I mention the helicopters and news crews swirling above our heads on the top floor of the hospital in East LA? You’re birth was dramatic. Like our lives. Our connection - it is Biblical. When I ask God to explain it to me He tells me- Look in the mirror! We are Two side sides of the same coin. If what we risk reveals what we value then I would risk it all on you. Never forget who you are- Little Star, shining brighter than all the stars in the sky. Never forget how to Dream Butterfly. Never forget where you come from. From Love. ♥️
3 EASY ways I sneak more protein and fiber into my diet! Eating enough protein and fiber doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. Small changes to meals you’re already making can help support muscle growth, digestion, satiety, and overall health. Here are 3 recipes that make it easier to get more nutrients in without sacrificing FLAVOR! Save these for later! 1️⃣HIGH-PROTEIN GREEN PEA CHICKEN SALAD * 2 cups frozen peas, cooked * 6 oz grilled chicken, shredded * ¼ cup diced red onion * 2 tbsp diced celery (optional) * 2-3 tbsp plain Greek yogurt * 2 tbsp shaved Parmesan * Juice of ½ lemon * 1 tbsp fresh dill * 1 tbsp Dijon mustard * Drizzle of honey (optional) * Salt, pepper & garlic powder to taste Mix everything together and enjoy! Peas provide plant protein and fiber, while chicken and Greek yogurt boost the protein content. 2️⃣DULCE DE LECHE PROTEIN LATTE * TRU Dulce de Leche @tru_supplements Protein * 10 oz almond milk * Cinnamon * Splash of vanilla extract * Coconut whipped cream Blend protein, almond milk, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Microwave for 45 seconds, then top with coconut whipped cream. A delicious way to get extra protein while satisfying that sweet tooth! 3️⃣QUINOA & BLACK BEAN MORO * 1 tbsp avocado oil * ½ small onion, diced * ½ red bell pepper, diced * 2 garlic cloves, minced * ½ tsp ground cumin * ¼ tsp smoked paprika * ½ tsp kosher salt * ¼ tsp black pepper * ¾ cup quinoa, rinsed * 1½ cups chicken bone broth * 1 can black beans, drained * ½ cup fresh cilantro * Juice of 1 lime Sauté onion, pepper, and garlic in avocado oil. Add spices and quinoa, then broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until quinoa is tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in beans, cilantro, and lime juice. This is my twist on a Dominican staple! Quinoa and black beans provide fiber, plant protein, and complex carbohydrates. Remember, nutrition isn’t just about hitting a protein goal. It’s about giving your body the nutrients it needs to function, re
